Responsibility towards the environment and mankind
PTR is very aware of its responsibilities towards the environment and mankind. This is why PTR has been certified since 1999 according to DIN EN ISO 14001 (environmental management standard). New environmental targets are regularly defined, and conformity is confirmed in the annual TÜV audits. Since 2008, PTR has also defined its conformity with and pursuance of environmental goals according to EU directive 1907/2006/EC, generally known as the REACH directive. It deals not only with environment friendliness, but extends this goal - additionally to the EU RoHS directive, to which PTR also adheres - to the detailed maintenance of human health. This means that the following are excluded from new PTR products as early as the design phase: materials which are harmful to the environment, non-degradable, bioaccumulative, toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction.
A declaration of conformity regarding the latest state of the REACH guideline can be viewed and downloaded as a PDF file at any time from the PTR website at www.ptr.eu.
In the same way, PTR automatically and immediately checks new environmental and health guidelines for conformity, issues the appropriate declarations of conformity, and adapts products when necessary to ensure conformity.
