PTR Messtechnik is Continuing to Expand

PTR Messtechnik is Continuing to Expand The Werne-based company of PTR Messtechnik GmbH is continuing to grow, and is again expanding its capacities. The company was founded in 1979, and this was followed as early as 1981 by a manufacturing and administrative building in the Wahrbrink industrial park, which is the site of today's PTR. In the following years, additional production and storage buildings were erected in order to satisfy the requirements of the company's increased activities and to create a new basis. PTR continued to grow in 1988. As a result of favourable business developments, construction of a two-storey administrative and manufacturing building – now the main one – was started. The construction of an in-house logistics centre followed in 2001, and at its heart is an automated commission warehouse whose function is to optimise the flow of materials. PTR Messtechnik is now adding a training and consultancy centre. A two-storey building is also being constructed and adjoins the main building. In addition to the reception area, the building comprises two large training and conference rooms, new offices, a large rest room and a video conference room. Following completion of the new building, older ones will be completely refurbished in order to create a unified facade appearance. The interior will also be refurbished and will then meet all the needs of a modern workplace.
PTR Messtechnik GmbH develops, manufactures and markets electromechanical components for industrial uses. The range of products manufactured by and available to PTR Messtechnik extends from terminal blocks and multi connector systems, integrated connection technology, precision test probes and interface contacts right up to DIN rail terminal blocks for professional industrial use. These products are used and applied in a large number of countries around the world, and in the course of many years, the PTR company has constantly made its name more widely known on the world market. In order to ensure that the currently around 130 employees at the Werne site are able to meet the market's increasing expectations, there was no alternative to the erection of the new building.
The start of construction is planned for July 2017, commencing with enlargement of the parking area. This will be followed by the new building, with approximately 340 m² of space. The costs of building and refurbishment are estimated at around 1.4 million Euro, and the orders for carrying out this work are placed with domestic companies.
